From the beginning of April till at least June, backcountry skiing is the place to be. The days are longer, the liklihood of good weather is greater and there is always plenty of snow. The later in the year it gets, the higher you have to go for the good stuff. This picture was taken on the approach to Tomihoi. That is Mt. Shuksan in the background.
