Sunrise over the eastern Grand Canyon, taken from Grandview Point at about 8 AM. I hiked down to an old miners cabin, or rather what little was left of it, on a saddle in the lower middle of the photograph, Horseshoe Mesa. Took 1-3/4 hour to get down and twice that to get back out. Remember the rim is at about 6000 feet on the south side and 7000 feet on the north side. The saddle in front of Horseshoe Mesa was 2500 feet down from the rim.
